Blackwater Creek is comprised of three farms located in the central and northwestern parts of Florida. Our fish are grown in large outdoor ponds. The 11-month growing season allows us to grow our fish larger and stronger than those reared in the cooler climates throughout the United States. Because our fish are bred throughout the year, we can provide a much larger selection of varieties and in more sizes during the year. Yep, that means even in the colder months of December, January & February!
Some of the broodstock (parent fish) we use are our original imports from Japan. This allows us to offer the genetics of champions. All fish sold are produced in our facilities here in Florida. We do not buy and resell fish. This practice ensures you will purchase only vigorous, healthy fish for your collection.
